Today, we're going to talk about the best way to overcome approach anxiety. Sometimes, the problem is jumping into the pool because you're just afraid. The first approach is the hardest so here's an exercise that will shatter approach anxiety. It's easy. The key is just to do it. The hardest part is just doing it because it works.
The way I developed this was when I was learning game on my own, around 2015. I had a tough time with approach anxiety and it was really hard. I've always been into NLP and at that time I was trying to stop smoking weed. One of the things I learned through trying to stop smoking weed is controlling your emotions and controlling what you see in your imagination.
One of the things that happen when you see a woman and you get nervous is that you're not seeing her--there's an unconscious image in your head that predominates what you see in reality. As a result, you react to the image and not to the person. I know this because when you see her, you automatically think that she doesn't like you--you see an image of her not liking you and that causes you to be anxious.
Pretty much, what I realized is to just change what you see in your head and it'll change the result. For me, what I imagine is I had a dog. When my dog gets mad at me, I don't take it seriously, I don't get offended. If a dog gets mad at you, it's funny and it's cute. When you approach a girl, find somebody in your life who provokes a relaxation--it could be a dog, a child, your niece, etc.
The point is to imagine approaching them in your head. Just literally imagine it on your head and don't let the moment consume you. Control your imagination before you approach her. This will literally reprogram your brain to feel relaxed before you approach a woman. The key is just doing it. The problem is that you won't do it. I know it sounds crazy but really, the thing works and the reason it doesn't is that you just don't do it.
The key is not to do it right but just to do it. Give it a try. You're gonna feel anxiety but through it and see that image in your head, relax, approach her and notice the difference.
