Let's talk about what every woman needs to accept before she dies.
A lot of the mistakes that people make come from a place of delusion. It comes from thinking that the world they live in will always stay the same. You think you’ll always have your friends. You’ll always have your health. Your mom will always be there for you.
These delusions cause a grandiosity where you underestimate your enemy and you overestimate your ability. You underestimate how much time you have. You overestimate how much you can really do.
Most of these things come from a place of not accepting your mortality. It comes from a place of thinking you've got unlimited time.
The reason why most people can't connect with many people is that they haven't connected with reality. The ultimate reality is death itself. It's your inevitable destination.
When you confront your own mortality, things begin to align on their own. Things that matter, begin to really matter. Things that don't matter begin to matter less. Priorities become aligned.
Suddenly, you begin to prioritize your long-term goals instead of your short-term goals. You see the power in thinking long-term.
You see a lot of girls walking around thinking that they'll always be young. They're not investing in their future.
Always focus on your long-term goals such as maintaining your health, your flexibility, and your mental clarity. Your short-term goal is trying to get that guy out next week. It's trying to lose 5 pounds. You need to sacrifice your short term goal for your long-term goal.
Contemplate on that. Meditate your inevitable demise. Always be thinking: how are you going to die? Visualize the experience in the most visceral sense. When you do that, you are showing your body what will happen.
Your body will react by giving you energy. It will align itself to do what it's supposed to do.
There's something about the threat of death. It's like when you know your dad is coming and he’s strict. He makes you start to tidy up.
When you start thinking about that, you begin to see the world around you with more intensity.
When death is in front of you, you feel most alive. It's kind of funny and ironic. There's something about deadlines that the body reacts to.
Meditate about death and it will accelerate your maturity. A lot of mistakes come from not thinking long-term. Meditating on death allows you to think long-term.
