When you take magic mushrooms, you become more sensitive. You’ll feel emotions with more intensity. If you experience a traumatic event while on mushrooms, you could be scarred for life.
The way to break from a habit would be to associate pain with doing it and associate pleasure with not doing it. The problem is that you could think of the consequences, but you won't have that emotional reaction that creates those connections. People don't have the ability to feel the consequences of their actions because they love the habit too much.
When you take very small doses of mushrooms, you'll notice that you feel more sensitive. If you think about something that could make you cry, you would cry.
To kick my weed habit, I will take a small dose of mushroom and then think about the consequences of smoking. The emotions that I felt about the consequences were more intense. I did this for seven straight days and it made me stop smoking.
Let's say you want to study more. Take small doses of mushrooms and then imagine what it would feel like to go through your life having the habit of not studying. See the consequences in your mind. You'll feel the consequences with a lot more intensity.
Then imagine the positive effects of kicking this habit. When you see the positive effects of stopping, you’ll feel joy beyond measure.
