When we have a lot of negative habits, we try to attack every habit that we have. That's a mistake because when you do that, you’re dispersing all your energy.
You want to focus all your energy on one habit that, if you improve upon, will provide the most results. You have to bombard that bitch.
I bought this book called Eat That Frog by Brian Tracy. I bought it because I'm struggling to do a specific set of things that provide success to my whole day.
It is due to procrastination. Rather than focusing on how to write better, or how to wake up earlier, I focused on having a system where I get the work done.
I'm going to read this book like there's no tomorrow. Notice how I’ve read Psycho-Cybernetics and The Power of Now a bunch of times?
That's because you have to find one book that attacks the main problem in your life. Read that book until you apply what it says. Never give up.
Having a book is a good excuse for procrastination. However, if you're noticing that you're not productive and you're not getting the results you want, find one habit that will produce the results. Focus on getting that habit. Find a book that’s specific to that one thing.
We usually get bombarded with so much information that It becomes very difficult to know how to apply.
The reason I do this is I've been a part of the pickup community where most guys suck with talking to girls. What most guys do is read about how to pick up girls. They will read everything.
What happens when they do get to talk to a girl is they don't know what to say.
If you struggle with starting the conversation, find a book that focuses on that.
I bet that if you're trying to improve your life, you’re trying to improve everything. That's not how it's done.
Focus on one thing. That's the power of being specific.
