A lot of people think that in order to be mysterious, they need to be quiet and act mysterious. Being mysterious is about what you project rather than what you hide.
Mystery that is woven into your day-to-day demeanor and is subtle has that much power to fascinate and attract attention. If you become a symbol of mystery, people will naturally be curious about you.
Being mysterious could be you projecting one thing and then another, so that other people can't understand you. They can't say they really know who you are because you're sending varying signals.
An air of mystery can make the mediocre appear enlightened and profound. An air of mystery around an artist makes his artwork immediately more intriguing. It's easy to do. Say a little about your work, tease and titillate with alluring, even contradictory, comments. Then, stand back and let others try to make sense of it all.
We enjoy the hidden messages. We enjoy trying to decipher what's going on. A lot of times we don't provide that because we're so direct. We don't provide the mystery that people cry because we want them to feel certain. If they feel uncertain, we believe that there's a good chance they may not like us. We try to be as direct as possible to get our point across.
Learn to make yourself less obvious. Every now and then, act in a way that doesn't mesh with other people's perception of you.
In order to be a mystery, you have to embrace your contradictions. If you are into spirituality, sometimes show that you're a little bit f***** up in the head. It makes people say that this guy has more depth to him.
It's all about the contradictions. It makes people process you more. It makes them say that they're trying to understand this person.
When people say that you're too predictable, it means that you’re suppressing a different side of you. An example of this is people who are super nice. This means that they are suppressing their bitchy side because no one is super nice.
If this is you, you need to learn how to embrace the parts that you are suppressing.
Hide your intentions. Don't be direct. If you want a relationship, say otherwise. That contradiction will enable you to make the guy think of you. This is the point of being mysterious.
Allow their imagination to fill in the blanks. When you do, whatever it is filled is based on the person’s insecurity. Most people are insecure. When you stop showing interest to someone you’re really interested in, they would think ‘Oh no, she doesn't want to text me.’ ‘Maybe she doesn't like me anymore.’
You got the effect that you wanted.
