Alright guys, today we're gonna be talking about how to find your purpose. The reason why I wanted to make this video is that I watched AMS' video and I think what he talks about is amazing but there's one section that I feel like he doesn't explain that well or doesn't go as in-depth as I would like to is how to find your purpose.
He said to be on your purpose but some people don't know what that purpose is. And even if they're on their purpose, it just doesn't seem like they connect to it to the point where they can completely put all in their being into it. I want to be able to show you how to do that because I believe it's something that I specialize in. We're gonna be using the book Mastery of Robert Green to get a lot of these references that we're gonna be talking about today.
So, what is your purpose? Your purpose is your life's task, your calling. Everyone is unique and everyone has a seed inside that you're born with as a child before you developed language. Before you even formulated a work or even had a self-identity. You had natural interests, things you're just inclined to do pre-verbal. It wasn't that you saw somebody else do it, it's that when you saw it, you just wanted to do it. It was almost as though it was part of who you were born with, like a part of your DNA. You're not even aware what's going on because you simply enjoy what you're doing but as you grow older, you disconnect from that core self. People tell you to do this or do that and they start giving you superficial paths that fulfill superficial needs like money or stability that allows your parent to say you're successful.
The more that you follow that path--the path where you're looking for money or the path of pleasing other people--the more you divert yourself from your true calling. The way that you know you've diverted yourself from you true calling is by the emptiness you feel at the depth of your being. You feel that disconnection, that dissatisfaction and that feeling you cannot escape--that feeling is that frustration that you should look into because it's telling you something and is guiding you on a new direction. It's your inner self, your inner calling that's speaking to you.
Out of all the things I teach, this to me is my favorite subject because this is the foundation of all of the things that you do. The reason why you got to tap into that inner calling is that inner calling takes no effort when discovered. That inner calling, in itself, once you discover it, it's almost as though you open a treasure chest full of energy, creativity, desire and motivation. Once you know what you're supposed to do, motivation is natural--that intensity naturally falls upon you.
